Welcome to the Jungian Psychotherapists Association (JPA) membership site. By accessing and using our website, services, and membership platform, you agree to comply with the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
1. Membership & Eligibility
1.1 Membership Requirements
- Membership is open to qualified professionals, students, and individuals interested in Jungian psychotherapy.
- By signing up, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.
- JPA reserves the right to approve, deny, or revoke membership at its discretion.
1.2 Membership Plans & Benefits
- Membership grants access to exclusive content, events, continuing education resources, and discussion forums.
- Plan details, fees, and benefits are outlined on our Membership Page.
1.3 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at jpa@jpaseattle.org.
2. Payment, Renewals & Cancellations
2.1 Membership Fees
- Membership fees are billed annually.
- Payments are non-refundable.
2.2 Auto-Renewal
- Memberships automatically renew at the end of the billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel your membership through your account dashboard or by contacting support.
2.3 Cancellations & Refunds
- You may cancel your membership at any time, but no refunds will be issued for the remaining period.
- If your membership includes access to continuing education (CEU) credits, any unused credits are forfeited upon cancellation.
3. Acceptable Use & Member Conduct
3.1 Code of Conduct
By using this site, you agree to:
✅ Engage in respectful and professional communication.
✅ Follow ethical guidelines when participating in discussions, forums, and events.
✅ Use the site for lawful purposes only.
3.2 Prohibited Activities
You may NOT:
❌ Share your login credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account.
❌ Use the site for harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior.
❌ Distribute unauthorized copies of members-only materials.
Violations of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your membership without refund.
4. Continuing Education (CEU) Credits
- Certain events and workshops offer CEU credits.
- CEU eligibility is contingent on full participation and completion of any required evaluations.
- Certificates are issued electronically after verification of attendance.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
- All content, materials, and event recordings provided by JPA are protected under copyright law.
- Members may not reproduce, distribute, or share materials without prior authorization.
6. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
- JPA does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
- We are not responsible for user-generated content shared within forums or events.
- While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information on our site is error-free or up-to-date.
Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JPA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
7. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Mediation Requirement
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
- Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms, membership, payments, event participation, or any JPA services shall be resolved exclusively through mediation.
Mandatory Mediation Clause
- The parties agree to attempt to resolve any disputes through good faith mediation before pursuing any legal action.
- Mediation shall take place in Seattle, Washington, and shall be conducted by a mutually agreed-upon mediator or a mediator appointed by the Washington Arbitration & Mediation Service (WAMS).
- Each party shall bear its own costs for mediation, except the cost of the mediator, which shall be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
Legal Action Limitation
- If mediation fails to resolve the dispute within 60 days, either party may pursue claims only in small claims court in Seattle, Washington, provided the claim qualifies under small claims limits.
8. Changes to These Terms
- JPA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
- Members will be notified of significant changes via email or website announcement.
- Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
