If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at jpa@jpaseattle.org. 2. Payment, Renewals & Cancellations 2.1 Membership Fees Membership fees are billed annually. Payments are non-refundable. 2.2 Auto-Renewal Memberships automatically renew at the end of the billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your membership through your account dashboard or by contacting support. 2.3 Cancellations & Refunds You may cancel your membership at any time, but no refunds will be issued for the remaining period. If your membership includes access to continuing education (CEU) credits, any unused credits are forfeited upon cancellation. 3. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Mediation Requirement These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms, membership, payments, event participation, or any JPA services shall be resolved exclusively through mediation. Mandatory Mediation Clause The parties agree to attempt to resolve any disputes through good faith mediation before pursuing any legal action. Mediation shall take place in Seattle, Washington, and shall be conducted by a mutually agreed-upon mediator or a mediator appointed by the Washington Arbitration & Mediation Service (WAMS). Each party shall bear its own costs for mediation, except the cost of the mediator, which shall be shared equally unless otherwise agreed. Legal Action Limitation If mediation fails to resolve the dispute within 60 days, either party may pursue claims only in small claims court in Seattle, Washington, provided the claim qualifies under small claims limits. 8. Changes to These Terms JPA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via email or website announcement.
