I received my MA in Existential/Phenomenological Psychology from Seattle University in 1984. After working several years in community mental health, EAP programs and UW Hall Health, I went into private practice in 2006. I have been in my own practice since then, seeing individual adults from both the heterosexual and LGBTQ + communities. Psychotherapy is what I love to do.
My approach to therapy is primarily psycho-dynamic and process-oriented, although I am able to apply various approaches dependent upon the person’s needs. My focus is to create a safe enough space for someone to feel comfortable to share themselves, and we work together to address the problems they bring to therapy. I provide deep listening, gentle questions and some education if appropriate. Dreams, art work, and other creative expressions are welcome and important to this process.
